What does Image Resizer do?
Image Resizer changes the pixel dimensions of a JPEG, PNG or WebP image to a width and height you choose, or by a percentage.
How does Image Resizer work?
Your browser decodes the image and scales it with the pica library's high-quality resampling, then encodes it in the original format. All of this happens in your browser.
Is my data uploaded?
No. The image is resized in your browser and is never sent to a server.
Which formats and inputs does Image Resizer support?
Inputs: One JPEG, PNG or WebP image; Width and height in whole pixels (aspect ratio can be locked) or a percentage. Output: A resized image in the original format, with its new dimensions.
What are the limits and limitations of Image Resizer?
Limits: maximum file size 50.00 MB; maximum input size 100 megapixels; maximum result 16,384 pixels per side and 100 megapixels; tested with a 4200 × 3000 JPEG. The output keeps the original format. Metadata such as EXIF is not kept.
